Downtown White Police excellent interview with Retired Connecticut police officer James Lancia.
Includes commentary on the impact of making everything racial (and the hostility of the media to police), profiling (which was always profiling of criminals, never race), blaming police instead of criminals (which makes police less willing to take chances to protect citizens), gun control (police support the Second Amendment and only want guns taken away from criminals), the once unthinkable use of police as political thugs (like in Berkeley, Chicago, San Francisco), bad cops (they exist), militarization of police and the looming police state (police oppose both), and why people become police (generally to do good).
