Microsoft was an American led company for many years until its upper leadership became Indian, beginning with the head of personnel some 20 or so years ago. Although the data released by the company is hard to interpret, employees note that the firm is a plurality Indian company in employees, as well as in leadership.
(Pretty clever of the Indians to colonize Microsoft. Pretty foolish to let the Indians colonize Microsoft.)
The CEO, Satya Nadella is Indian-American adult-immigrant and has Indian attitudes. When he was caught saying that women should be seen and not heard, he was denounced as a white racist, even though he is a high caste Hindu (In truth, no article anywhere appears to discuss his religion and his caste.) and he was expressing normal, normative Indian sentiments.
And yet, no one ever looks at Microsoft and says, Whites are underrepresented in its workforce, and the Indian leadership have filled the company with Indian employees (both in India and the United States) and therefore its failures (and successes) are Indian.
So here are some numbers: (The Redmond company made slight progress in its efforts to increase racial and gender diversity in its workforce in 2017. Diversity was boosted with the acquisition of LinkedIn.)
=====
Table: “Microsoft Corp. Employee Demographic Breakdown: 2017: Gender”, in Seattle Times, November 15, 2017. p. A13.
Female: 27.3%.
Male: 72.6%.
=====
Seattle Times sees this as deplorable white racism and discrimination, but if there is discrimination here, it is Indian and HIndu discrimination.
Then, more tricky: notice how the categories have been manipulated to overstate the number of Whites:
